Yuasa Renew Sponsorship With Dynamic Duo

Yuasa Batteries is pleased to announce its renewed sponsorship of leading Factory Xtreme Sport Compact Drag Racing icon Rod Harvey.

This exciting partnership will continue to bring the Yuasa brand name to the forefront of motor racing, providing awareness and exposure for the brand.

The Yuasa logo will feature extensively on the race vehicle, race suit, pit crew apparel, website, Facebook page and all associated media.

Rod will be competing in his Toyota Camry at a number of Jamboree’s this year. The Jamboree’s are a premier event on car enthusiast’s calendar in Australia.

Shavaun Harvey

Shavaun Harvey is following in the footsteps of her father, world renowned drag racer Rod Harvey, and has been racing since she was 7 years old. Shavaun’s 2004 GMS Junior Dragster is powered by a Briggs & Stratton petrol engine and can hit speeds of up to 85mph.

Shavuan's started the year of with a bang at the recent NZ Junior Dragster Champs, Shavaun won Advanced Class ‘Heads Up’ and 'Dial Your Own'. Shavaun will be racing later this year in Australia, at drag racing's biggest event the Winternational's. This sponsorship includes Yuasa branding on the drag car and Shavaun’s race suit.
